💰The $SWARM Token

The $SWARM token is the core utility and governance asset powering the entire Swarm Protocol ecosystem.

It has 3 key functionalities:

Simulation & Access Currency

Every large-scale simulation run, algorithm upload, or premium data query consumes a discrete amount of $SWARM. To remove friction, the platform allows contributors to fund these costs in stablecoins (or fiat), with automatic conversion into $SWARM behind the scenes. By anchoring core services—such as compute resources and advanced model libraries—to $SWARM, the token captures network value and ensures predictable demand as adoption grows.

Governance

$SWARM holders direct the evolution of the protocol by voting on priorities such as experiment funding, feature development, and integration standards. This decentralized governance ensures that the protocol reflects the needs of its global community of researchers, developers, and enterprises.

Incentives

A portion of the $SWARM supply is reserved for funding community incentives. Stakers, developers, and research groups are rewarded for contributing algorithms, validating experiments, and expanding the ecosystem. Enterprises and institutions can also receive token-based rewards for integrating real-world applications back into the protocol.
